Star Wars Posters, Series 1
Concluding a study of the contemporary flat design style in graphic design, a series of three posters were produced covering any topic for any application. The theme of Star Wars was chosen and illustrated in a faux travel poster style as a commemoration of Star Wars’ 45th anniversary.
Each of the three installments in the series lists the name of a noteworthy planet in Star Wars canon written in both Galactic Basic and Aurebesh, below which are several planetary statistics. Each poster captures an iconic location and scene from the film series in a monochromatic palette.
Ideation
In the transition between early sketches, refined sketches, and final illustrations, there are very few changes that were made. Of the differences between the initial iteration and the final, the relative scaling of different elements played the greatest role in creating a visually compelling design.
